Your finance function, rebuilt by a CFO who builds with AI.
We run our own firm across three countries on the systems we install. Now we build them into yours: every finance process taken apart, rebuilt to run in the least time and cost, and handed to your team.
Fixed fee, typically $15,000 to $40,000. Scoped and priced after the free review, against what the rebuild will save you.
The finance function an in-house CFO would build, if that CFO also built with AI.
Liam runs the accounts for businesses in New Zealand, Australia and the United States on systems he built himself, with a person checking every number. He comes into your business himself, takes every process apart, and rebuilds it to the same standard.
The most efficient process for every task, measured in hours and dollars before and after.
The most accurate numbers on the things that drive decisions: margin, cash, what is owed.
No reporting nobody reads, and no complexity that only exists because it always has.
Three phases. You know the full price after the first.
- 01
The autopsy.
Every financial process taken apart and mapped. A written diagnosis with the saving quantified.
- 02
The rebuild.
The ledger, the close, the forecast and the pack rebuilt. Automated where reliable, a person where judgement matters.
- 03
The handover.
Runbooks, training and a support period. Then Liam leaves, and you own all of it.
The autopsy.
Every financial process is taken apart and mapped: who does what, how long it takes, what it costs, where errors creep in, and which numbers actually drive decisions.
- Every process, from a supplier bill arriving to the board pack going out
- Hours and cost per process, at your people’s real rates
- Where errors enter, and what they cost when they do
- Which numbers are used to decide, and which are noise
The output: a written diagnosis with the saving quantified. The rebuild is quoted against it.
| Process | Who | Hours a month | Cost a month | Where it breaks |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Supplier bills | Accounts assistant | 14 | 770 | Keyed twice, from PDFs |
| Bank reconciliation | Bookkeeper | 10 | 550 | Done at month end, so errors surface late |
| Management report | Owner | 6 | 900 | 40 lines, 3 used to decide |
| Debtor follow up | Owner | 4 | 600 | Only when cash is tight |
| Four processes | 34 | 2,820 | Plus an eight day close |
The rebuild.
The finance function rebuilt the way it would be if you had an in-house CFO who was also an AI expert. Drawn from this list, scoped to what the autopsy found:
- Ledger restructure, so margin is visible by client, job or service line
- Automated coding and reconciliation
- A close measured in hours, not days
- A 13-week cash forecast and an integrated forecast
- A reporting pack cut down to the numbers that matter
- Controls and approvals
- Bank lines matched and coded to rules
- Bills and receipts read, coded and filed
- Recurring journals and reconciliation checks
- The reporting pack assembled from the ledger
- The cash forecast refreshed every week
- Debtor reminders sent on a schedule
- Approvals over a set amount
- Anything the system is not sure of
- The month-end review and sign-off
- The commentary on what the numbers mean
- Pricing, hiring and funding decisions
The handover.
A runbook for every process, your team trained on your own file, and a support period while it beds in. Then Liam leaves. The business owns everything, with no software to subscribe to and nothing that stops if you stop.
Clients can keep Liam on afterwards through CFO Advisory. It is an option, never a condition.
Every rebuild is built around your business, your software and your people. Nothing is off the shelf: the autopsy decides what gets built, and your team decides how it is run.
Measured in the autopsy. Priced against in the quote.
The fee is set against what the rebuild saves you, so the autopsy measures each of these for your business before you commit.
Hours back each month.
For your team and for you, process by process.
Days off the close.
Numbers in days, not weeks, after month end.
The next finance hire, avoided.
Growth absorbed by the system, not by headcount.
Numbers you trust enough to decide on.
Margin, cash and what is owed, right the first time.
The kind of visibility a rebuild produces.
One example of a monthly pack a rebuild can produce. Yours is designed around your business and the numbers you decide on, so it will look different. Click through the four sheets, open the decisions, change the cash floor. Illustrative numbers: no client’s file is ever used in marketing.
After the handover: your team runs it, and you can see it.
Your team runs what gets built from the first month, with a support period while it beds in. The numbers can sit in a client portal like this one, with the model still in your own workbook. Click the tabs: every figure ties to every other.
- The monthly numbers by the 5th, with what needs a decision
- The forecast refreshed every week, the low point flagged before it arrives
- A support period after handover, fixed in the quote
- Or keep Liam on through CFO Advisory, from $1,500 a month, no lock-in
This month’s noteCash is comfortable through week 7. The one decision this month is the second project hire: it fits if the retention releases in November as scheduled.
Fixed fee, typically $15,000 to $40,000.
Scoped and priced after the free review, against what the rebuild will save you. Never hourly.

|---|---|---|
| The Finance Rebuild | $15,000 to $40,000 | One fixed fee for all three phases, set by scope and quoted in full before you commit. You know the whole cost, and what it is priced against. |
| After the handover | Optional | The support period is in the quote. CFO Advisory from $1,500 a month if you want Liam to stay on. No lock-in. |
The written proposal after the review states the currency.
“Liam rebuilt our budget from the bottom up and restructured the ledger so we could actually see delivery margins and where payroll was really going… The reporting was genuinely useful: true cash position after obligations, utilisation by consultant, and straight commentary on what needed a decision each month. Always delivered on time, no fuss, and having clean numbers made life easier when the business changed hands.”
Before you book.
Q01How is the price set?
By scope, against the saving. The autopsy measures what each process costs you today, and the rebuild is quoted as one fixed fee, typically $15,000 to $40,000, on the walkthrough call. It is never hourly, so a question never costs you anything.
Q02Is it safe to put AI into our finance function?
It goes only where it is reliable: matching, reading, coding, assembling, reminding. A person approves anything over a set amount, clears anything the system is unsure of, and signs off the month. Your data stays in your own accounting system, and how it is handled is on the security page.
Q03Will it fit our software and our people?
Yes. Every rebuild is built around the software you already run, and around the people who will run it. Nothing is off the shelf, and if a tool should change, the autopsy says why in writing before anything is bought.
Q04Do my books need to be clean first?
No. Cleaning up the ledger is part of the rebuild, and the review already shows which numbers can be trusted, so nothing about the data is a surprise after you commit.
Q05How much of my time does it take?
Less than you expect: the autopsy interviews, a few questions along the way, and the training at handover. The build happens on our side.
Q06What do I own at the end?
Everything: the processes, the automations, the models, the pack and a runbook for each. Models live in your own Excel or Google Sheets with every formula visible, so nothing stops working if you stop working with us.
Q07What if I want help after the handover?
The support period is part of the quote. After that, clients can move onto CFO Advisory from $1,500 a month, with no lock-in. Or your team runs it alone. All three are the rebuild working as intended.
Start with a free finance review.
A 20 minute call, then a written review within 24 hours: what is costing you money, what to fix first, and what could run without a person. Yours to keep whatever you decide.
